It’s been a while since I felt like sitting down and writing…just haven’t “felt it.” But last night my birthday present to myself arrived (belated) and it made me very happy. I’ve been collecting Seeburg 1000 stuff for over a year now and it has been a lot of fun. As with all hobbies, they tend to be expensive. My latest addition is no exception…a Seeburg Encore SEP-1. This is a very rare find. Even came with a prisitine copy of the owners manual. I spent last night unpacking and reassembling the unit. Since it has been out in the cold for three days during transit, I thought it best to let it sit and get reacclimated to the temperature. I hope the UPS man was gentle and that it actually fires up. I’ll post some other pictures shortly.
As for other things…I gave up my Virgin Mobile account after 4 months. The serevice provided by Sprint was just horrible. I received very few calls “live”, most went to voicemail because I didn’t have a decent signal. The 4G was worthless! So I bit the bullet and got an iPhone 5 with AT&T again. I hate spending that kind of money, but it works. It works SO well. Luckily I still had iTunes on my laptop, so once I got hope from the store, I plugged it in and within 10 minutes I was up and running with all my old apps and contacts. I was impressed. I even called AT&T and asked if I could get the Service Fee waived since I was a returning customer. The Customer Service Rep was amazingly great (hard to believe, I know!) and she waived it and welcomed me back…saved me $40!
I won’t get too much into the whole election thing. We are stuck with Obama for another 4 years, and already taxes are going up, companies are laying off thousands of employees because of the impending ObamaCare costs. It just makes be ill. But such is life and we’ll have to make the best of it.
Been quietly working on a big project behind the scenes. Can’t really discuss here, plus I don’t want to jinx it. But if it were to actually happen, it would be a life changing event in my life. While I am very excited, I have to keep my enthusasm under check because in reality there is only about a 20% chance of this thing actually happening. But it will never happen if I don’t at least try. The first big hurdle has been addressed, now I wait for a reply. Fingers crossed.
