After starting my broadcast career 50 years earlier (1972) at WDCW at The Defiance College, I hung up my headphones on a fulltime basis on May 31, 2022.

Station Manager CMG-Goldsboro

Took over as Station Manager of a 5 station cluster that included a popular website GoldsboroDailyNews.com.

North Carolina News Network

Became Affiliate Relations and Operations Director for a network of 75 radio stations across North Carolina.

Director Of Digital Content

Developed the first set of websites for Curtis Media Group.  Also handled streaming and Email administration for the company.  Developed TriangleRadioNews.com, an online only 24/7 news service.

WPTF Operations Director

Responsible for programming and operations of this 50,000 watt News/Talk radio station in Raleigh, NC.

WTND Thunder 99.5 - Station Manager

Thunder 99.5 was a new Hot Country radio station based in the Greenville-New Bern-Jacksonville, NC market.

WEWO - Mix 96

Operations Director for automated A/C WEWO and News Director of Mix 96.  Both located in Laurinburg, NC.  This was my second “tour of duty”.

WTAB - WYNA-FM

Operations Director for a pair of small-market radio stations based in Tabor City, NC.

WEWO - WSTS-FM

Operations Director for  WEWO, an automated A/C station that was heavy into the community.  WSTS-FM was a 100,000 watt gospel station serving Fayetteville & Lumberton, NC.

WOAC-TV 67

Master Control Operator for a new local TV station in Canton, Ohio.

WKNT - WNIR-FM

First full-time job as a News Reporter/Anchor, eventually hosted Afternoon Drive on then WKNT-FM playing A/C recorrds. Weekend host for “Dial-A-Date”.

WKSR - WKSU-FM

Kent State University.  News Director and DJ.

WDCW-AM

Freshman year at The Defiance College and my first time in a radio studio, playing what was then called “Progressive Rock”.  First song I ever played was “White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane.  It was a white vinyl 45 RPM record.

Class of 1972.  Vice President of Junior Class.  A/V geek.
